Hi guys! Welcome back to my page.
I’ve had a busy and sad weekend, as I couldn’t spend Mother’s Day with my mom as parts of the world are still under lockdown and it’s still hard to travel. Although, technology to the rescue, and couldn’t have asked for a better time with her. Also, Happy Mother’s Day to all of you out there!
To keep myself busy I came up with this next card to enter into Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge. This week’s brand is Stampendous products and that was the perfect opportunity to use this amazing stamp set.

The way I thought of making the card was to give it an untraditional look by cutting out a semi-circle so that the inside of the card is exposed at the edges. I have been thinking lately of trying to push the boundaries of a traditional card and feel this one turned out interesting.

The green cardstock is from Michaels Recollection paper pad.
I watercolor-ed the images on Brustro watercolor paper with Camel water colors and also using the distress inks by using the smooshing technique learnt from YouTube videos of K Werner Designs.
I stamped the images first with Distress Ink Mustard Seed. After coloring it, I used the dies in the same stamp set to die cut the image and then glue it on the cardstock. The leaves inside the card are stamps from Michaels Store and stamped with Memento Dew Drop New Sprout.

To finish off, I added pearls and sequins to give a feminine look. I think this card is perfect for any occasion, by keeping it the same or customizing.
Do take a minute to comment and let me know what you think of the card. See you soon!
