Hello there! This card is sponsored by Waffle Flower😉, because I was the runner-up winner for the April Challenge Week 4. I was supper excited to win and get some amazing stamps in my collection. I have used their new stamp set Caring Hands for this card.

I wanted to showcase the hands, but still keep it simple; to be honest, I am scared to color it!! Does anyone else get perturbed by painting skin tones? I’d love some tutorials if you’ll know of any in the comments section.
The card uses the new Arteza metallic gouache paints. I used Apricot, Coral and White rose using the Sunburst Stencil from Waffle Flower. I let the paint dry overnight, as heating setting is known to dry and crack the paint overtime.

I stamped the hands on white cardstock with Distress Ink Victorian Velvet and fuzzy cut it. I used the heart die from Hero arts to add between both the hands.
Initially, this card was just the vellum, and I wasn’t sure that the recipient would enjoy the flimsy feel of just the vellum front. That’s when I thought of adding a white frame to the backside so that the vellum could still be the focus but have a sturdy front.
I added the embellishments from Waffle Flower’s enamel dots Unicorn and Clean & Clear.
I have never made a card just using vellum. I think this is a cool and unique way to show off stencil backgrounds. Hope you’ll liked this card!
I am entering this card to these challenges:
- Waffle Flower May Week 4 – Use Vellum
- Color Crazy Challenge – Week 21 – Anything Goes Colouring Challenge
- Cardz4Galz – #148 Summer Fun
Thanks for stopping by! ❤
Very pretty card. I like the background and colors. The skin is always hard to color. If looking for paints. I like the Prima confessions complexion palette. I would watch some u tube videos using search of coloring skin tones with … copics, paints, pencils.. I learn a lot by videos and then practice. Just stamp a bunch skin images and practice till you get a look you like write down the colors if using copics I like E00, E11, E31 .. I am so glad you shared your card over at Cardz 4 Galz, Colour Crazy.
