Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing a card on the theme of the month by Simon Says Stamp Instagram challenge.

The color scheme is just so refreshing and honestly I’ve never used this combination before, so all in all, super fun.
I chose to use Pinkfresh Studio products for this card, because I’ve been having lots of fun with this die set. This is the Simply Hexagons and also has a (somewhat) matching stamp set Pop out: Hexagons. The fun part is that the stamp set has pop out elements that can be used together or separately, therefore, stretching your supplies. Recently, a lot of companies are trying to make sure that products can be versatile and many YouTube bloggers are also providing tips and techniques on how to stretch your supplies.

Here I used the Hexagons die as an embossing folder, by using the die on a paper with the Sizzix rubber embossing mat (as I use the Sizzix Bigshot). Instead of cutting the paper as a die, this leaves the impression of the die on the paper without cutting it. So another great way to use your dies is to use them as embossing elements. How cool is that?
After getting the embossed impressions, I used distress inks Cracked Pistachio and Spun Sugar on the paper with an gentle hand, to match the light colors in the challenge.
I also used the Simply Hexagons die to die cut the pieces on which I used distress inks Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry. I choose to color a few of the hexagonal pieces and then randomly decided to glue them onto the card.
I chose the stamps from the Hexagons stamp set to stamp the three sentiments, making this a Birthday card. I used Versamark water embossing ink pad to first stamp the sentiments with my Misti, and then used Hero Arts gold embossing powder with a heat gun to set it.

Lastly, I used clear enamel dots from Waffle Flower and Liquid pearls in Brass to place more dots randomly over the card.

I really love the color scheme and definitely looking forward to using the combination in the future. I hope you liked the card. I always look forward to your comments.
Take care and stay safe.
