Penny’s Paper Crafty blog challenge DT – The Paper Shelter #499

Hi guys. Here are my cards as the DT for the blog challenge over at Penny’s Paper-Crafty sponsored by The Paper Shelter. Please hop on over to enter the challenge and would love to see all of your beautiful creations!

The 1st card is a watercolor background card. I just took my paintbrush and started creating the lines in the sky and sand and was really happy with the way it turned out. I then stamped the rainbow image from Pinkfresh Studio. The jewels around the sun are from Studio Katia.

The second card features the same image, but I used strips to create the scene. I tried to do the sky, rainbow, sand and water through these strips. I hope that that came across. Have any of you used strips to make a scene?

In both the images, I used watercolors to color the summer girl. It was a slow process but I just love going into a zen mode when doing such intricate coloring. BTW, both the card bases are slimline standard 3.5″x8.5″ on Neenah solar white 110 lb card base.

Challenges:

Take care and see you soon.
