Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge DT – Hetty Clare

Welcome back to my blog.

Today starts the new challenge over at Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge and our lovely sponsors Hetty Clare, All Dressed Up Stamps and The Artsystamper Shop have some amazing prizes to be won. I am presenting Hetty Clare’s Country Girl Rose Basket stamp set and many more by my fellow DT members over at the blog.

For this card, I went in for the slimline card. I first started by splattering some paint at the background using Arteza glitter paint. I left that on the side to dry, while coloring in the country girl. I used Arteza’s real brush pens to color her in. I am still new to the pens and figuring out the way to use them. They can be used by themselves, and also dipped in water to give a faint color.

I fuzzy cut the girl and adhered foam stickers at the back. I also used Fred She Said’s Dahlias stamp set leaves at the bottom and top. To be honest, they were lying on my desk from a previous card that I made and I felt they went perfect with this image. I colored in the leaves with distress oxide, details of which you can find here.

Both the sentiments are from Craft Smart stamp set from Michaels (I couldn’t find them anymore though) stamped using Versafine black onyx. Lastly, I added Studio Katia silver sparkle crystals from embellishment.
