Hi everyone! It’s been a while since my last post or being active on SM. Feel like the pandemic and being at home is finally getting to me. I miss my family, miss travelling and just having a regular life in general. I know we all react and feel things in different ways, but I’ve been finding it hard to get my mojo back. Hoping that doing some regular activities can help me fall back into routine.

Well, that’s enough about me. Let’s get to this amazing beauty from Craft Consortium Ltd. stamps that I have fallen in love with. I wanted to create a soft watercolor look that was simple yet striking.
I choose this image from the Cottage Garden stamp set, using Versamark embossing pad to stamp the image and using Brutus Monroe alabaster white embossing powder to heat set it. I used Brustro water color paper as the base.

I used shades of pink, blue and green to watercolor the image. The way to do this is to dump some water using a thick brush and then scooping up color and gently tapping it over the water to create splotches of paint. I did use the heat gun in between to get a more deeper color.
Using a brown shade, I colored in the door and windows as well as the top of the house to give the image a little more dimension. To trim down the page, I used Pinkfresh Studio diagonal stitched frame. I glued this over a brown cardstock from an old envelope over a 120 lb. Accent Opaque white folded notecard measuring 4.25 x 5.5 inches.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment New Home from the same stamp set in Versafine onyx black.
Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
