Today’s card is part of the new challenge at Clever Dexter, running till the end of the month of August. This month’s sponsor is La Casetta DiChicca and I have been blown away by their wonderful and quirky digital stamps. The Bunny summer digital stamp has by far been the cutest image that I got a chance to work with. For this card, I first started with a stencil (because that is the main theme) from Kaisercraft. I had this stencil in my stash for a while, but never used it before, mainly because I make mostly standard A2 size cards and I don’t like using anything less than the entire circle (my very slightly OCD brain)for my card base. That’s why, this card is square measuring 5.5 x 5.5 inches.

I started by using distress oxide faded jeans and chipped sapphire, from inside out. Then, I used picked raspberry to color in from the edges as well as in the center.

I colored in the bunny using Arteza brush pens. For the unicorn horn, I applied Ranger enamel accent pink gumball and liquid pearls brass. Finally, I used Sakura gelly roll 08 size nib to give the finishing touches. I fussy cut the image and taped foam at the back before gluing in over the center of the card.

The enamel dots pink and white are from Waffle Flower and the silver sparkle crystals are from Studio Katia. The sentiments Love You and Sweet Heart are from Waffle Flower Love you Bunnies stamp set, stamped in white Unicorn pigment ink by Hero Arts.

I have some paper pad collections from Recollections at Michaels that I use often to create backgrounds, and this one is from the Stay Magical paper pad.
