It’s another challenge time at Crafter’s Café challenge blog. The theme for this fortnight is FANTASY. The wonderful sponsor is Chubby Mermaid, who is offering a wonderful PDF book worth $5.99 as the prize.
I will admit, I am not used to using such intricate and detailed images for card making. I am a more die cut, stamping kinda crafter. But, this one definitely pushed my boundaries. I don’t know if I am proud of the way the card turned out, but I can tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed the process.

The Dreamcatcher Elf coloring page is of this sleeping elf with a dreamcatcher in the background. I colored in the entire image using Arteza shimmer gouache colors and Kuretake pearl colors.

For the dreamcatcher beads, I used Ranger enamel accent in pink, blue and white and liquid pearls in brass and silver.
The textured background is also from a kitchen towel roll that I smooshed in distress inks and then glued it to the cardstock using Mod Podge. I thin, let it dry overnight. The sentiment is from a scrapbook that I die cut in a circle shape.

Adding stars to embellish the card was the last touch to finish the card.
