Clever Dexter DT – La Casetta sull’albero di Chicca – Chicco Space

Hey hey hey! Hope all of your wonderful people are doing well. I can tell you that summer is almost coming to an end and I am dreading the cold. Well, not really cold where I am, but I love summers and can’t ever get enough.

That’s why I wish I could hop on this cute rocket ship and come back next summer. Wouldn’t that be fun?!?

This card took a whole new turn; I actually had a very different plan for it, but I printed the image a lot smaller than what I needed. But, hey look! It all turned out even better.

The theme for Clever Dexter for this month is “Use A Stencil”. I really wanted to have this huge star stencil, but I had nothing like this in my stash. So, I used a Fun Stampers Journey star die to die cut Gina K’s masking paper! Yup, That’s how I created this gorgeous star, using a masking sheet as my stencil. I used Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed at the edges.

On the side, I painted the cutest Chicco Space digi image of the rocket guy and the rocket ship using watercolors and some glitter paints, and fussy cutting them. The balloons are from SSS that I had never used before, but was in my stash since almost a year. I stamped Dusty Concord, Cracked Pistachio and Worn Lipstick on the balloons. I hand drew the balloon strings using a blacker marker.

The sentiment “… that took forever” is from Hero Arts and “Happy Birthday” from scrapbook.com. Finally the confetti stars is from Fun Stampers Journey.

  1. Beautifully done, Kinjal ! I love all the tiny stars in the background. How clever to make your own stencil. Thanks for playing along in our “Anything Goes” challenge at Pammie’s Inky Pinkies this week, and good luck in the draw.
