Crafter’s Café Challenge #275 – DT Artsy Stamper

It’s the 1st of the month and that means a new challenge over at Crafter’s Café Challenge blog with the theme Anything Goes. Our sponsor is Artsy Stamper!

I was probably in the most experimental phase when I made this card. I just wanted to do something that was super different in terms of the colors of the rays. Normally, I end up going over at Pinterest and try to look at paintings or illustrations to help me open up my ideas a bit. I can say that this is how this color scheme was born. I am still a little skeptical whether this actually looks great or not. Some days I feel super good about it and some days, I think that I’ve probably lost my marbles! Can you please let me know what you think? Have you had any such project where you’re in a love-hate relationship with it? Please leave comments, i do read each and every one.

I started this card by printing the gorgeous Field Flowers silhouette . I used Waffle Flower sunburst stencil over the image. The colors I used are Twisted Citron, Seedless Preserves and Blueprint Sketch distress oxides. The blue shade was used very sparingly towards the edges.

I adhered this entire piece over a lime green cardstock that I had since forever. I also added these gold butterfly stickers from Paper House Productions to finish it off.

The entire card is a standard A2 size using Accent Opaque cardstock 120 lb.

  1. It looks very cool!! The color combo is a little bold, but I think it is bright and happy! And, yes, I have definitely had those cards where I love them one moment and hate them the next. Thanks for playing with The House That Stamps Built.
