Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge DT – All Dressed Up Rainbow

Hello there! Happy that you are here.

Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge blog has a new challenge up today and the sponsors for this week are Hetty Clare, All Dressed Up stamps and The Artsy Stamper Shop. Today I am showcasing this cute image from All Dressed Up.

This Rainbow Girl image really required a lot of brainstorming. Finally, I decided to make the card as if the girl was actually painting it on a dreary, gloomy day. That’s why I made sure that the painting of the rainbow was not too neat. I used Liquid Pearls to color in the stripes of the rainbow. The rest of the image was colored in using Arteza Brush pens.

The entire die cut frame with the clouds is from Trinity stamps. I used Shaded Lilac and Tumbled Glass distress inks all around it. I also used the die cut pieces of the sun and another stitched cloud that I added. I used Stormy Sky distress oxide in the background to enhance the gloomy day look.

“You’re” is also from Trinity stamp set Kind One and the word Magical is from Erin Lee Creative that I die cut using blue and yellow cardstock.

I adhered this over a Accent Opaque white cardstock 120 lb. measuring 4.25 x 5 inches.
