Clever Dexter DT – Oddball Art Co. and Autumn

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping here. This post is a mid-week reminder for the new challenge up at Clever Dexter and this month’s theme is “Hello Autumn“. Our sponsor this month is Oddball Art Co. by Lizzy Love and they are giving away a prize to the lucky winner.

For this card, I went with a shaker effect, ‘coz who doesn’t love some sequins dancing around in their card?!? The stamp set is from the Autumn Trails digi stamp. I wanted to show that the pumpkins were stuck in the cobwebs and that the cute bat was rescuing them. 😉

I started with coloring the images with Arteza brush pens and then fussy cutting them.

For the shaker card I used sequins from the Dollar Store that I had in my stash. I took a purple cardstock from the Michaels store that I applied Black soot distress oxide to leaving a little circle as is (this is where the bat would be placed) as the base. The cobweb acetate sheet is from Paper House Productions. It’s a very sturdy and elegant acetate that I have used in a while. I used double-sided foam tape to adhere to this back of the acetate sheet and glued it over the base with the sequins in the middle.

I then made strips of the same purple cardstock and applied it as a border to hide the foam on the sides. Then, I simply adhered all the images and also stuck the sentiment on the side with double tape.

Hope you liked the end result. Do head on over to check out more inspiration and don’t forget to enter and tag us in the challenge #cleverdexterchallenge22.

Have a great day!
