Crafter’s Café Challenge DT – Polkadoodles Missed you Friend

I love the beginning of months as the design teams I am on mostly start then and I showcase all the work I have put into making these cards all in one go.

Crafter’s Café challenge blog starts with their fortnightly challenge with Anything Goes and the sponsor is the lovely Polkadoodles.

This image provided to me was a perfect stamp as I have still not had a chance to meet some of my friends and this would be a perfect sentiment to share with them.

The card didn’t intentionally turn out to be a slimline, but more because I cut the sheet in the wrong dimension, and then I just started working on the leftover paper. And there you have it! Does it happen with any of you?

I, then, folded the card and to make the pop up, folded it into a Z shape and then adhered the image to it, that was die cut in a heart shape using Hero Arts Infinity Dies. I water colored the whole image and then using a round brush and liquid pearls Sage and Mermaid made speckled dots around them.

The sentiment Love you The Most is from Pinkfresh Studio that also has a shadow die that I die cut in vellum and the words in glitter cardstock and adhered another glitter cardstock at the base so that when the heart rests on the edge of the sentiment, the vellum doesn’t tear. I also die cut a star from glitter cardstock as well from Hero Arts.

That’s it. Hope you liked the card. I always like to hear your thoughts and comments that you leave below.

Also, if anyone out there can help me with something. As you can see I am not able to get smooth water coloring done on the paper, as I have to use an 80 lb. cardstock to print that is not conducive to water coloring. I don’t have a printer at home, so I end up printing from a local store, where I can take my own sheets. Do you know a water color paper that is easy to print on? Also, that is cost effective? I know there are some brands out there, but it’s not cheap. If any of you can help me out, I’d be super grateful. Thank you.

Challenge entries:

Take care and have a wonderful day.
