Oh, here we are, the last few days of December 2021. What a year! With things looking brighter for the next year, wishing and hoping for all of you to find your light and love.

Today, I am sharing the monthly challenge post for Clever Dexter . This month’s theme is “Everything Holiday”. You can find the details in the picture below, as well on their blog. Our sponsor this month is Polkadoodles, who have graciously offered prizes to our winner.

I have to say, I have made a lot more Christmas theme cards and crafts than ever before. I don’t celebrate Christmas and don’t have many friends that do. But, I love being a part of this craft community and seeing all the gorgeous and creative projects, I couldn’t help myself.

The image that I had a chance to work on was this lovely gathering of a girl with her friends, Time to Give. I really love how she is exchanging gifts with them.

I printed and colored the image using Arteza brush pens, and then fussy cut it around the image. I took a 4.25×5.5 paper, and made a night winter scene. I started with DO Chipped Sapphire and Faded Jeans, adding a layer of Seedless Preserve. Around the edges I added Black Soot. I added some black sequin starts in the sky portion.

Taking a fan brush, first I added splatters of water and then white paint. I also took some White Opal liquid pearls and mixed it with water, and splattered with the fan brush, occasionally swiping it. Lastly, I added DO Aged Mahogany as the base.

I added a white frame to that and adhered it to the A2 size card base. Glued the image and the sentiments that are from Waffle Flower crafts.
