Sending Love – Pinkfresh Studio Challenge January 2022

Hey there!

Have you checked out Pinkfresh Studio’s new challenge of the month? They have included all the challenges from 2021 and you can use any theme to participate. To add to that, I was the winner for their August 2021 monthly challenge with the theme Stripes. You can check out that card here.

This card combines the challenges Alphas/Words, Flowers, Anything Goes and Leaves and Greenery.

This card did require some thinking as I am trying to include more techniques in my cards. So first I started off with a red cardstock and using the Curvy leaves die set, I dry embossed the two opposite edges with a silicone mat in my Big Shot. To highlight the dry emboss, I used a mix of white pigment ink and DO Crackling Campfire with a brush.

Next, I added Dylusions Shimmer Spray in Postbox Red, by placing the cardstock in a box and spraying it gently. I heat set it to let it completely dry. And I used my favorite Essentials: Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die in small to cut it down. I also used the same frame to die cut 3 more piece of cardstock so that I could add it to create more dimension.

Taking the Frame Builder Botanical diamond set die, I die cut the same red cardstock, 3 times and glued the pieces individually. I adhered them in opposite sides so that the leaves and flowers were jutting out of the main red cardstock, creating almost a banner-like in the center of the card.

I proceeded to stamp and die cut these gorgeous Inna Alpha stamp set to form the letters for LOVE. I colored the flowers using Faber-Castell polychromos pencils and used a marker in purple to fill in the letters. I adhered them using foam stickers. The sentiment Sending is from an old Pinkfresh Studio set called Hummingbird. Finally, I added Jewels in Lavender to finish off the card.

This entire layout was adhered to a black cardstock and glued on a A2 size notecard.

I tried to implement some extra elements that I would be too lazy to use or just not try. I am glad that I did.

Thank you for hanging out with me. Have a great day ahead!
