Hi! Thank you for popping by here.
I am sharing a card inspired by a monthly challenge hosted by Karin Markers on their Instagram Page. I have long seen card makers use these gorgeous and pigmented markers in their cards, and have always been in awe. But the thing that pushed me to participate, was this color combo of just two colors.
I had to find similar colors in my stash and I of course went to by ink pads. The closest the colors resembled were DO Stormy sky and Wilted Violet (Although this was very bright, I did try to tone it down by using brush application).

I started with a white cardstock and simply grazed the ink pad as is in the corner. I did it a couple of times to get a rough, yet even quote. I wanted to add some glitter, so I used the Nuvo Shimmer paste with Alexandra Renke Spring Flowers stencil and set it aside to dry.
I took a Brustro watercolor paper and tore the sides with my hands to give a rough edged look. When I grazed the Stormy Sky ink pad, a little bit landed on my desk, to which I applied water and roughly placed the edges to catch the color softly. I also took a fan brush and picked up the paint and splattered it over the page and then let it dry.

I used the Spellbinders January-19 Cherish die set for the bouquet and flowers. I used vellum, so as to keep the color palette neutral. White cardstock branches and flowers die cut using Wilted Violet. I also took a piece of strip from the same purple and added it to the bottom edge of the watercolor paper. The bow uses Stormy sky.

I stamped the sentiment from Fun Stampers Journey stamp Backyard Blooms in Black Onyx and used hearts die cut from my stash. I adhered double sided tape and glued this entire front panel (along with the glitter paste) to a white cardstock in a standard A2 size. I used Liquid Pearl in silver to add dots to the middle of the flowers.
I do hope you like this vintage feel card. I also have a video showing the whole process, which can be found on my Instagram page. Let me know what you think in your comments below.
