Hi there!
This Father’s Day card was actually started as a project for an Autumn themed card, which was supposed to have pumpkins at the base. But after making it, I didn’t like the whole look of it. In fact, I spent an entire day looking at it, thinking I’ll eventually like it. But I’m so happy I decided to change it to an amazing Father’s Day card.
I used the following:
- The green leaves cardstock that I die cut using Heffy Doodle rounded stitched die. I added some green ink at the edges.
- The brown craft paper is actually from an envelope that I recycled and used the same Heffy Doodle die and then added some brown ink at the edges. I glued all of these pieces down.
- Next I added this tree sticker
- I added the strip tree sticker that is from a local dollar store sticker book.
- The Dad and Patient and kind are from sticker sets
- The green leaves cardstock, which is the back of the green leaves paper that I used as the base. I used MFT stamps rolling hills dies to die cut these pieces and I added some green ink to the edges as well.
- I finished of the card with some sequins and clay embellishments.
This card truly showed me that it’s never too late to change a card look if you aren’t totally happy with it. Of course, at the end of the day, it’s just paper (Cathy Zielske quote).
