School Days – PHP

Hey there! I know that a lot of the kids are ready and heading back to a new school year. I imagine my happiness and anxiety when I would head back to school after my summer holidays. To be honest, I really love a good routine and schools always helped curb that chaos. To commemorate that time and also to inspire parents or teachers to give a card to encourage young minds, I’ve made two cards using Paper House Production products and Ellen Hutson stamps.

Card 1:

This card reminds me of standing on the road, waiting for the bus to arrive, and seeing all my friends after a really long break. I used the boy and his accessories from the Little Gentleman stamp set from Ellen Hutson that I stamped, colored in using my polychromos, and die-cut the pieces out.

For the sky, I used this teal cardstock. For the road, I used this grey cardstock from PHP (I’ve suggested an alternate product, as this one is out of stock). I applied foam sticker behind to give some dimension. I glued down all the stamped pieces on the right side of the card.

The bus sticker is from this sticker set that I adhered to just above the grey road. I added the A+ sticker also from the same sticker set. To add more dimension, I used these fun, glitter 3D stickers from this sticker set.

Card 2:

The next card is for all the fun extra curricular activities in school like art. Of course, that was my fav class and looked forward to it every year.

The base of this card is this dotted background that I think was perfect. I added the canvas stand, large crayons and the “Create Inspire” quote from this sticker set. I had stamped, colored, and die-cut the images from Ellen Hutson’s stamp set called Little Lady and adhered it next to the canvas. Using a crafter knife, I cut the hand to insert the crayon box, to show as if she was holding it. Same with the crayon box, which I cut to insert the single crayon.

I added a pail of pencils and “school days” stickers from the Mommy Lhey planner sticker booklet. “Make ideas happen” is from the Decorative Stickers – Girl Power Faux Enamel sticker set.

I really love combining stamps and stickers, especially when you don’t have all the supplies. Stickers make it super easy and fun to make cards.
