Fairy Slider Card – TLC Designs DT

Hello and thank you for stopping by. I had a lovely time making this card. I had a vision and I can safely say that it translated into exactly what I wanted to make.

I die cut this Slimline Multi-Slider Die in plain green and textured orange cardstock. Taking the positive pieces, I lined up the orange leaves on white cardstock and glued them down. I also did the same with the green dots. Once everything was glued, I ran the die through my Sizzix with a silicone mat to get a dry embossed look over the glued parts. Next, I used DO Pine Needles and Twisted Citron with Fired Brick and Candied Apple in the middle.

Next, I printed these Fall leaves from the Festive Friends Digital Stamp Set. Once I printed them, I smooshed the images in some paint consisting of browns, yellows, and greens. Once they were dry, I cut them and also added some black ink on the edges.

The sentiment and cute fairy are from the Tiptoe Fairy Dance Stamp Set. I stamped her and colored her using polychromos pencils and then fussy cut the image. I also stamped the sentiment using black Onyx ink. I ran this sentiment piece over the Pine Needles ink pad and set it aside to dry.

Now comes the assembly. Using the slider pieces in the die set, I die-cut an area on the right of the card. I placed the leaves pile and figured out where I would want the fairy to land. I also added another strip to the slider piece to be able to pull it up and down with ease. Next, I added two pieces of foam tape and adhered the fairy to the slider. This gave enough gap between the base and the fairy for her to be pulled up and down.

I love interactive cards and this one is just perfect for that.
