The challenge goes live today and the sponsor is STAMPlorations who are generously offering $25 to their store and a chance to be a guest designer on the next challenge blog at Timeout. The theme is “Precious”. So, come on and get your creations sent it.

Nothing is more precious than a friendship. And more so, since the pandemic! I chose this cute stamp set from Simon Says Stamp designed by the talented Cathey Zielske. I think this stamp is a reminder of how we want to connect with our friends even when we can’t be next to each other.

I chose a white and brown gingham pattern cardstock background that I found at my local Joann store by American Crafts.

On a Brustro water paper sheet I stamped the screen image with Versafine Black Onyx, using my Misti. I watercolor the image and to give a shine light grey base color , I used Arteza glitter pain in Grey. I also cut the base of the computer and adhered it directly to the cardstock, while I added foam at the back of the screen to give dimension.

I stamped the main sentiment with Distress oxide Aged Mahogany about three times and then fussy cut it. All the other sentiments were stamped using Versafine Black Onyx.

I just wanted this card to reflect the gift of friendship and how precious it is and so tried to keep it very simple. What do y’all think?

  1. Your card is absolutely adorable, and I so agree that friendship is so very precious no matter what is happening around us. I love the gingham background, and the way you colored those sweet critters. The placement of the sentiments is perfect too. Thank you so much for guest designing with us at Time Out!
