Poetic Pixie Outdoor Masterpiece – TLC Designs

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Today I am sharing this fun card with the background made from just one stencil. Yes, you got that right! I am in awe of the TLC Designs stencils, as they have multiple edges along with the main part. So you not only get to use the stencil for the main image but the edges can be used to make many more additional elements.

Now, let’s get on with the card. I printed this cute Poetic Pixie with the books and easel using this stamp set. I colored the images with Arteza brush pens and polychromos pencils. I fussy cut the entire image and adhered foam tape to the back and set it aside.

For the background, I used this Splash of Hearts and Land stencil. I first used Distress Oxide Twisted Citron and Memento New Sprout to make the grass. Using DO Broken China I gently inked the rest of the background. Using the same stencil and DO Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass, I inked in the hearts, dark to light. To add a little bit of interest I dry embossed the largest frame from the Daisy Frame die set using a silicone rubber mat from Sizzix.

Now it’s time for assembly. This is a standard A2 size card. I glued the front background on a folded white cardstock. I adhered to the fussy Poetic Pixie along with some Park Lane heart embellishments. Lastly, using a white gelly pen, I added some lines and dots over the image and also used Wink of Stella to add some glitter to the wings.

I am very happy the way this turned out. And hope you liked it too.
